Free Shopify landing page builders (and when you don't need one)

You can get a landing page live for a Shopify store without paying anything — but “free” means something different in each option. Shopify’s built-in page editor is free and always will be, most landing page apps are free only up to a limit, and a generator hands you a finished page without touching your theme. Which one fits depends on whether the page needs to live on your store’s domain, and how much fiddling you’re willing to do.

Option 1: Shopify’s built-in page editor

Free, always. Included with every plan.

Shopify has a basic page editor built in (Online Store → Pages). It’s genuinely free and the page sits on your own domain.

That last point matters more than people expect. A landing page works by giving one message and one action; a full site nav sitting on top of it leaks clicks in every direction.

Option 2: Landing page apps with free tiers

Free up to a limit, then $15–100+/month.

Apps like PageFly, GemPages, Shogun and EComposer all offer free tiers on the Shopify App Store.

Option 3: A generator (hosted off your store)

Free, no app, no theme changes.

A generator skips the blank canvas: pick a template, fill in the fields, publish. The LeakyLander generator does exactly this — coming-soon, product launch and lead-magnet templates, a live preview, and a hosted page at a shareable link with sign-ups going to a private leads dashboard you can export as CSV.

Which should you pick?

When you don’t need a landing page at all

Sometimes the honest answer is that your product page already is one. If you’re sending traffic to a single product and the page has a clear headline, strong images, proof, and one obvious buy button, a separate landing page may add nothing. Fix the product page first — see product landing page best practices.

Whatever you use, the page still has to convert

Tool choice matters far less than structure: one message, one call to action, a benefit-led headline, fast mobile loading, and one piece of proof near the button. That’s covered in the anatomy of a high-converting landing page, and the step-by-step build is in how to make a landing page for your Shopify store.

The bigger picture

A landing page is one piece of the funnel. If traffic arrives and still doesn’t buy, the leak is usually elsewhere — speed, checkout friction, or weak CTAs. Revyfix adds every leak into one score and ranks the fixes by payback.
